After Jaspar could only play a minor part in yesterday’s blog about his territory, he will demonstrate today what a fearless climber he is. I have already shown you how Jaspar manages to get onto the first floor terrace – over the roof of our shed. The shed is a very important part of the front yard. Cat can hide and relax in it and there even is a tin with treats. But the shed is high and without need a cautious cat would not jump off it to get to the ground. Neighbour cat Merkel once used the bonnet of our old Jeep as a go-between. Thankfully Jaspar is a little more considerate and runs all along the roof to use the proper descent. But see for yourself!

Nachdem ich Jaspar gestern in seinem Revier so vernachlässigt habe, darf er dir heute vorführen, was für ein unerschrockener Kletterer er ist. Ich hatte dir ja schon gezeigt, wie Jaspar auf die Hausterrasse im ersten Stock kommt: über das Dach unseres Schuppens. Der Schuppen ist ein wichtiger Teil des vorderen Gartens, denn darin kann katze sich verstecken, relaxen und eine Leckerli-Dose gibt es auch. Aber er ist auch so hoch, dass eine vorsichtige Katze nicht ohne Not von seinem Dach herunterspringen würde. Nachbarskater Merkel hat schon einmal die Motorhaube unseres alten Jeeps als Zwischenstation benutzt. Jaspar ist da glücklicherweise rücksichtsvoller und läuft brav den ganzen Weg bis zum Abstieg. Aber sieh selbst!
