How do you feel about January? I must admit that I am always glad when that month is over. For my taste it is still too far away from spring and flowers and birds and warmth. So I greet any blooming plant like the hazel with delight.

In our part of the world, January 2017 started with snow. But it was only a rather thin, wet layer that did not last long. That is why the photos with the most snow are rather dark. They were taken very early in the morning. The cats made the most of it though.

Tomorrow I will show you pictures of the second half, where the weather was cold but sunny.

Was haltet ihr eigentlich vom Januar? Ich muss zugeben, dass ich immer froh bin, wenn dieser Monat vorbei ist. Für meinen Geschmack ist er zu weit von Frühling, Blumen, Vögeln und Wärme entfernt. Darum freue ich mich über jede blühende Pflanze und sei es nur die Hasel.

Bei uns startete der Januar 2017 mit Schnee. Aber es gab nur eine dünne, pappige Schicht, die sich nicht lange hielt. Darum sind die Fotos mit dem meisten Schnee auch so dunkel. Sie wurden am frühen Morgen aufgenommen. Aber die Katzen haben natürlich auch daraus das Beste gemacht.

Morgen zeige ich euch Bilder aus der zweiten Januarhälfte, da war es zwar kalt, aber sonnig.
