As reported Islay M. from L. was asked to help the police with their enquiries. He was suspected of having hit and injured his sister Isfrid M. As the victim refused to make a statement, DCI Ben J. had to rely on circumstancial evidence: A piece of white fur that was found in the claws of the suspect. As the accused was brought before the investigating jugde the worst happened: Eager young prosecutor Karl-Theodor von K. was not able to convince the judge with his evidence. Top laywer Lilly W. – member of the famous law firm Bear, Fox, Wolf & Partners who had been flown in from Frankfurt to represent Islay M. – argued that the piece of fur in question did not belong to Isfrid but to the other brother, Isbjörn, who lost that fur when he had a friendly scuffle with the accused. While the laywers made their cases both brothers slouched on the witness bench while their sister steadfastedly refused to say a word and avoided eye contact. Islay M. left the building a free cat. DCI J. was only slightly frustrated and stated confidently: „I knew it would be difficult without the victim’s statement. But Islay is notorious for his bad behaviour. Once a brute always a brute. We will get him next time.“

Wie berichtet wurde letze Woche Islay M. aus L. festgenommen. Er stand unter dringendem Verdacht seine Schwester Isfrid M. verprügelt und verletzt zu haben. Da das Opfer keine Aussage zum Tathergang machen wollte, konnte sich Hauptkommissar Harry K. nur auf ein Indiz berufen: In den Krallen des Verdächtigen wurden Reste von weißem Fell gefunden. Als der Beschuldigte dem Haftrichter vorgeführt wurde, kam es jedoch zum Eklat: Der engagierte junge Staatsanwalt Karl-Theodor von K. konnte den Richter nicht mit seinem Indizienbeweis überzeugen. Die extra aus Frankfurt angereiste Staranwältin von Islay, Lilly W. von der berühmten Kanzlei Bär, Fuchs, Wolf & Partner, hatte angeführt, dass das betreffende Fellstück nicht vom Opfer, sondern vom Bruder, Isbjörn, sei. Der Beschuldigte habe es ihm bei einer freundschaftlichen Rangelei herausgerissen. Während die Anwälte ihre Argumente vorbrachten, lümmelten beide Brüder gelangweilt auf der Anklagebank herum, während es das nach wie vor hartnäckig schweigende Opfer vermied, irgendjemand in die Augen zu sehen. Islay M. verlies das Gericht als freier Kater. Hauptkommissar K. war nur leicht enttäuscht und zeigte sich zuversichtlich: „Wie befürchtet haben die Beweise dieses Mal nicht ausgereicht. Aber so wie wir Islay M. kennen, wird er bald wieder zuschlagen und dann kriegen wir ihn.“
