In our household the life expectancy of a piece of cat-on scratch furniture is a little over three months. I liked the first model „La Ola“ a lot but the next we tried was too small (in my opinion). So I ordered my favourite and two different, rather low scratch pads (that will hopefully secure the integrity of the office rugs). I was looking forward to observing what the cats would think about the new delivery. As you can see Islay immediately claimed the largest one while Ice-B tried them all and decided he liked my favourite best. Marvi and Issi quickly made up their minds, too, and turned this into a veritable scratching competition. After all, scratching is one way of marking one’s territory where a cat not only leaves its scent, it is also a clearly audible way of staking a claim. For the record, the Senior VP of the test department contained herself and let her underlings do the strenuous scratch work 🙂
