Sorry! I am still suffering from the aftermath of my computer melt-down. A couple of projects needed urgent attention and – more importantly – I have found Lilly a new home! (I will keep you posted on that in detail shortly.) So there was just enough time to notice that due to the peculiar tastes of our resident rodents, spring is more pink than any other colour this year. (It used to be yellow but these plants seem to have been too tasty for their own good.) Hence you will see a lot of pink blooms – and some pink noses, ears, tongues and bellies! The latter due to the fact that sometimes I can just tear off the lumps of matted fur. Needless to say that this works only on Islay and Issi.

Entschuldigung! Ich leide immer noch unter den Folgen meines Computerzusammenbruchs. Einige Projekte erforderten dringend meine volle Aufmerksamkeit und – noch viel wichtiger – ich habe für Lilly ein tolles neues Zuhause gefunden. (Darüber halte ich euch natürlich noch detailliert auf dem Laufenden!) Ich hatte gerade so viel Zeit um festzustellen, dass dank des einseitigen Geschmacks unserer Wühlmäuse, der Frühling bei uns dieses Jahr eine ziemlich rosige Angelegenheit ist. (Früher war er immer gelb, aber diese Pflanzen hatten die Nager offensichtlich zum Fressen gern.) Daher werdet ihr heute jede Menge rosa Blüten sehen – sowie einige rosa Nasen, Ohren, Zungen und Bäuche! Letztere sind das Ergebnis meiner Entfilzungsversuche, denn ab und zu gelingt es mir, einen der Filzklumpen soweit zu lösen, dass ich ihn abreißen kann. Es erübrigt sich wohl zu sagen, dass dies nur bei Islay und Issi funktioniert.
