Congratulations Karl-Theodor and Micki! You were the first who dared to leave a comment and you were right, too!! And the most amazing thing is that Micki does not even own a cat. Micki, maybe you should think about it?

I admit that options c and d seem to be very similar but for the cats in question they are not. The important player in this game is Marvi who is really annoyed and deadly serious (look how her ears are pressed flat against her head). As mentioned before, lying on your side is not a disadvantage in a cat fight. Quite the contrary, it is the ideal defense position. With claws drawn Marvi could turn into a bed of nails within seconds, plus her opponent is forced into the active role. Marvi has made her position clear, she will not start but this is not a game and will be war. Everything is up to Isfrid. She has to decide whether she dares risking injuries by attacking. So what does she do? She is obviously pondering and she is blinking. As you know, blinking is used to calm your counterpart and to show him/her that there is no threat. (By the way, that works between cats and humans, too!) At that precise moment it is clear, that there will be no fight. Now Isfrid has to find a way to give in without losing face. For this she breaks eye contakt and looks the other way, pretending there is something much more interesting going on. After that she just walks away – all the while Marvi has not moved an inch. Once again, well done experts!

Was macht sie also? Gut gemacht, Experten!

Viele Grüße!
Sybilla
