Thank you, thank you, thank you! Birthday cat Schmotti is pleased as punch that you thought that she is much younger – which female would not be pleased? Unbelievable but true, Schmotti is in fact a very fit 20! (And cross my heart, no grey hair and wrinkles were photoshopped!) Considering this, does it matter that nobody got the first riddle of the year right? No!

Naturally, owner Meike showed the blog to her cat and Schmotti was very flattered. She asked me to send her kind regards and to tell you that even though she is long past her teens she does not feel one day older than 6. She wishes all readers a wonderful new year and lots of mice and treats. By the way, the fluffy blanket you can see in the photos is a birthday present and the little lady is totally smitten.

Danke! Danke! Danke! Geburtstagskind Schmotti fühlt sich sehr geschmeichelt, dass ihr gedacht habt, sie sei viel jünger – welches weibliche Wesen würde sich nicht darüber freuen? Unglaublich, aber war, Schmotti ist tatsächlich eine fitte 20-Jährige! (Und Ehrenwort, es wurden keine grauen Haare oder Falten wegretuschiert!) In Anbetracht dessen, spielt es da noch eine Rolle, dass keiner die richtige Antwort auf das erste Rätsel des Jahres gegeben hat? Nein!

Natürlich hat Halterin Meike ihrer Katze den Blog gezeigt und Schmotti war sehr angetan. Sie hat mich gebeten, euch herzlichst zu grüßen und auszurichten, dass sie zwar jenseits der Flegeljahre sei, sich aber keinen Tag älter als sechs fühle. Sie wünscht allen Leserinnen und Lesern ein wundervolles neues Jahr und viele Mäuse und Leckerchen. Die flauschige Kunstfelldecke, die ihr auf den Fotos sehen könnt, ist übrigens ein Geburtstagsgeschenk, in das sich die kleine Dame sofort verliebt hat.
