For her first climbing efforts our YumYum had chosen the fir tree in our garden. Because of this she developed a rather unique descent: She climbed down a branch as far as possible and when it bent down to the max, she jumped off. On low fir branches that meant that the branch would touch the ground and she could just carry on walking. I was reminded of this when I took today’s riddle pictures. Take a good look at the one at the bottom! Sander’s weight bends a yew tree branch so far down that is is horizontal.

Question: What happens next?

a) Sander climbs down to the end of the branch and jumps off.

b) Sander turns around, walks back to the trunk and descends the normal way

c) While trying to walk further Sander looses his balance and falls off.

d) Mrs. Peel joins him but her extra weight is too much for the branch. It breaks and branch, Sander and Mrs. Peel fall down to the ground.

Frage: Was passiert jetzt?
