One of the drawbacks of living in the sticks is the sloooow internet connection. So far downloading software updates had to be done over night or on weekends and I better did not upload a big file and work online at the same time. We hope that our new hybrid solution where landline and LTE are combined will speed things up. It is looking promising.
If you had thought I would actually show you a picture of the best husband of all, I must disappoint you. He is even more camera-shy than I am. But I got the cranes for you! Unfortunately, the group that crossed our house really low did so at dusk and I could just watch them while the camera was lying somewhere downstairs.

Gut geraten, Susette und Karl-Theodor! Mrs. Peel hat tatsächlich den besten Ehemann von allen bei der Suche nach der perfekten Position für die neue LTE-Antenne beobachtet. (Man beachte die Professionalität der dazu verwendeten Hilfsmittel.) Einer der Nachteile des Wohnens in den Außenbezirken ist die laaaangsame Internetverbindung. Bisher mussten alle Softwareupdates über Nacht oder am Wochenende stattfinden und wehe, wenn ich eine große Datei hochladen und gleichzeitig online arbeiten wollte. Wir hoffen, dass der neue Hybrid-Anschluss, der Fest- und Mobilnetz miteinander kombiniert, die Sache etwas beschleunigt. Soweit sieht es vielversprechend aus.
Wenn ihr geglaubt habt, dass ich euch ein Bild des besten Ehemanns von allen zeige, muss ich euch enttäuschen. Er ist noch kamerascheuer als ich. Aber ich habe die Kraniche für euch! Die Gruppe, die am niedrigsten über unser Haus flog, hatte sich dazu leider die Abenddämmerung ausgesucht und ich konnte ihnen nur zusehen, während der Fotoapparat irgendwo im Erdgeschoss lag.
